The importance of insulation when building your dream home
Building a house from scratch is many people's dream, and every detail of the project makes all the difference. A well-planned structure guarantees comfort and, of course, adds value to the property. That's why it's essential to consider insulation, which improves thermal comfort, reduces energy costs, insulates against noise and prevents problems such as damp and mold. In addition to these benefits, good insulation also contributes to sustainability, reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.
With these benefits in mind, our experts use Spray Foam, a spray-applied polyurethane foam ideal for thermal and acoustic insulation and sealing gaps in buildings. When applied, the foam expands, filling irregular spaces and creating an efficient barrier against temperature variations, humidity and air infiltration.
How is Spray Foam used?
Roofs: Foam can be sprayed on the underside of sloping roofs with uninsulated attics, as an alternative to mineral insulation in the rafters or attic “floor”.
Walls: Foam is used to fill empty hollow walls, especially when standard insulation is not suitable.
Floors: Foam is applied to the underside of suspended wooden floors, usually using robots to access the space, avoiding the need to lift the floorboards to install the insulation.
In short, investing in good insulation is key to ensuring comfort, energy efficiency and sustainability in any building. Spray Foam stands out as a practical and effective solution, creating an efficient barrier against extreme temperatures, humidity and infiltration, making your home more comfortable and environmentally responsible.
